You have exhausted all conventional places where you can find a job. You’ve looked at the companies which have job openings on the Internet and on the newspaper. Working with job agent also quite discouraging, right?
Now, I am giving you a few ideas that are quite refreshing but it really need an open-mind.
Just like what I read somewhere say “Your mind is like a parachute, it never work unless it is open.”
Learn the new idea and willing to work hard. Get to know where you can find job.
Stop reading the want ads and the job posting
They are misleading and giving you the impression there are no job at all.
We should not depend on them to get a real picture of what the job market is doing because 80% of all jobs are never advertised. That is more true in a tough job market as everyone is looking for unconventional way to land a job.
Dig deep in your interest
Follow your intuition, and follow your interest. So many people are telling you to find a job and take it. I think you must like the job then you get a chance to get hired.
The reason behind it is quite simple: you need demonstrate the passion for working for the company to get a better chance.
When you have no clue where to find a job, just go straight to where you would like to work and tell them why you are so motivated to work for them because you are passionate doing just that.
Of course, you need research for the businesses in the industry and make a list of them. Fire up a targeted direct mail job hunting series to test your luck. Make sure you write a compelling cover letter to sell them why they should hire you.

Dig deep in your industry
If you are experienced in an industry you have a lot of ideas where you could have a chance for a job. Research the industry and get know them inside and out. Who are the major players? Who are doing well and who are not?
Target the companies surround the industry, their clients and their suppliers, etc.
Of course, you can’t just wait for job posting from the companies. You have to adapt to proactive job hunting method like direct mail and cold call that we are teaching there.
Take advantage of Employee Referral Program
If your research shows there are companies have ERP program, then find one of employees in the company through your network of contact, you may have to 3rd level or 4th level to find someone who likes to help but it is well worth it.
If you would take the systematic networking system to in real life, that is not difficult to do at all.
Use Linkedin service to search for a contact via your existing network as well.
There are so many ways as long as you dig much deeper, there are with your reach.
Research fast-growing companies
When the economy is sinking, you can still find fast growing companies if you look hard enough from business magazine and local newspaper. A few business segments are booming because of different business life cycle
The bottom line is to find out who is still hiring and fire up your direct contact job searching in the areas.
Not only for the companies you know there are growing but also target their peers in the same industry.
